San Carlos Travel Information

If you want to enjoy the waters of San Carlos, you’ll be warmed by temperatures as high as 90 degrees in August and September. The temperature can drop to as low as 60 degrees in March and April. Hurricane weather is possible from May 15th to November 30th, with most activity taking place later in the season.

San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico, is easily accessible from the north. Visitors arriving at the Hermosillo International Airport (HMO) can rent a car for the coastal drive. U.S. citizens with tourist visas can drive south from Arizona along Mexican Interstate Highway 15, a very safe route with stunning views of the beautiful Mexican landscape on the way to your San Carlos reservation.
